Jewel 5057U "Wake-Master" AM TUBE Clock Radio (1950)

Up for Sale !! Jewel 5057U "Wake-Master" AM TUBE Clock Radio (1950) The case on this radio is in Vintage Condition and has Patina consistent with its age. The only two minor  flaws in the case are slight stress cracks as seen in pictures. One a top left as seen in second picture. In The first picture you can see a minor crack above right knob and right under red piece on radio on the right side. When I bought this radio it was a mess. I went through everything in this radio which includes changing all Electrolytes and all old wax capacitors, all out of spec resistors have been check and the ones that were drifting too high or too low were changed with modern resistors. The techron was cleaned and oiled and runs accurately as it should. As you can see in pictures tubes light up and the radio starts playing, The radio AM was aligned, The AM and comes in loud and clear. Radio has a short wire in back and picks up excellent reception and stations all across the Am dial. If a longer wire is added the reception will be fantastic. This radio was Bench Tested for 24 hours on my radio work bench on and performs like a brand new radio. This Radio is beautiful and works at top performance and will make a great addition to any Clock tube Radio collection.
It has an Art Deco vibe, but was made in 1950 so verging on mid-century modern. Made in Long Island City by Jewel Radio It is a tube radio - so cool to see the tube glow when it is on! The clock face is bright, and grill detail is clean. Dials are clean (if you compare to other specimens of this model, you will be amazed how clean this one is!).
Clock runs and keeps accurate time.  Radio tunes in stations clearly.
A great addition to a tube radio collection or gift for the person who already has everything!
