Case History - Campbell the pony
Campbell is a thirty-something Welsh pony who has had a long career working at summer camps on pack trips. Normally, he is a friendly, people-oriented, go anywhere type of character. But, Campbell's gait had become short and choppy, and his hind end especially stiff. He urinated frequently and his urine was abundant and clear. He had dropped weight (probably due to his many missing teeth) and his lumbar region had become very tender to the touch. He had become somber and was not interacting with his pasture mates as usual. His red coat had turned dull and shaggy. Even so, his blood work was unremarkable.
We started Campbell on Whole Horse Herbs Classic Formula - Easy Mover Plus because his symptoms so closely matched the formula’s indications of arthritis, lack of vitality and poor condition.
In addition to Easy Mover Plus, Garland gave Campbell several acupuncture and moxabustion treatments to improve his overall vitality. He was also placed on a senior feed to improve his weight gain.
After a week on this new routine, Campbell returned to galloping, bucking and playfully kicking out at his bigger pasture mates and nickering at feeding tim
